Protest erupts after student crushed to death by bus


JAMSHORO: A female student lost her life on Thursday after a speeding bus of Sindh University rammed into her in Jamshoro.
According to details, the incident took place when Physics department's Shaista Memon was crossing the road and struck by a bus. The victim was shifted to hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to the injuries.
Following the mishap, the students staged protest and blocked Super Highway after which they were baton charged by police.
The security personnel have taken the driver into custody for further legal action. Vice Chancellor of the university has suspended the transport company contract. 
Meanwhile in Karachi, at least three people were killed as container turned turtle at Korangi crossing in Qayyumabad.
Vehicle's driver has fled the scene whereas severe traffic jam has badly irked the locals. - NNI
