Hong Kong shares end higher

HONG KONG, March 7, (APP/AFP) - Hong Kong shares ended higher tuesday for a second successive day ahead of the release of Chinese economic data, shrugging off sharp losses last week. The Hang Seng Index added 0.36 percent, or 84.79 points, to close at 23,681.07. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.26 percent, or 8.54 points, to 3,242.41. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.30 percent, or 6.09 points, to end at 2,031.63.
