Country's progress linked with CPEC project: Nasir Shah

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that without any iota of doubt, CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) is the 'game-changer' and the nation's progress and prosperity is linked with it. He said China and Pakistan are two brotherly countries having exemplary friendship between them. With the great project the journey of Pakistan's eternal development will begin, he said adding that those who are unhappy with the Pakistan's development are carrying out wrong and negative propaganda against CPEC but the Pakistan Army and Law Enforcing Agencies were playing an important role for its security. 
He was addressing the seminar "CPEC: Rythm of Progress" organized by Sahafi Welfare Association, as a chief guest at a local hotel, here Tuesday.
Syed Nasir Shah said there was Indian hand behind attacks on CPEC in the past while American President Donald Trump has criticized Pakistan in his recent speech in which he has announced new Afghani strategy. He said we also consider Indian designs against the CPEC and such conspiracies will be thwarted through united efforts. He said work CPEC continued in all the three eras of Pakistan People's Party and it was former President Asif Ali Zardari who was first to pay official visit to China in this connection. He said that economic zone being built on Kety Bunder, Dhabeji will further improve the country's economy.
Earlier, Mubashar Mir, General Secretary of the Sahafi Welfare Association presented the welcome address and highlighted the importance of CPEC. Col. (Retd) Maqbool Afridi, Col. (Retd) Ali Raza Mir, Javeria Tareen, Sardar Shaukat Popalzai, and Asim. A. Siddiqui presented their presentations with reference to the CPEC.
The seminar, among others, was attended by President FPCCI Zubair Tufail, Chairman National Food Mian Abdul Majeed, Chairman China-Pakistan Business & Investment Promotion Council Tang Ji Kai, Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani, Director Marine Group Asim A. Siddiqui, Security Expert Col. (Retd) Ali Raza Mir, President Balochistan Economic Forum Sardar Shaukat Popalzai, President Balochistan Institute of Research & Development Javeria Tareen, Investment Consultant Col. (Retd) Maqbool Afridi, Vice-President FPCCI Mirza Ishtiaq Beg, diplomats from different countries, industrialists, social personalities and journalists including Executive Editor The Financial Daily Manzar Naqvi.
