 Suicide attack in Rawalpindi kills 6



RAWALPINDI: At least six people were killed when a motorcyclist rammed his bike into the bus of a government department in Rawalpindi here Thursday. Nasir Khan Durrani, Regional Police Officer, told reporters that 15 other people were also injured in the attack at the Chur Chowk area of the city.
Witnesses said the bus was carrying employees of the Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC) when came under attack. HMC is a leading engineering goods manufacturing enterprise in the country located at Taxila just about 30 kilometers north of the Capital. The injured were shifted to a local hospital. No group claimed responsibility for the attack till filing of this report. Taliban-linked militants have been blamed for such attacks. Durrani said that the bombers have adopted a new methodology for suicide attacks as now they have started using motorcycles for attacks.-NNI
