Opposition will be taken in confidence regarding to joint session
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that all institutions and departments would work jointly to overcome crises being faced the nation, adding that, balance of power would also be ensured among the all institutions.
Talking to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani who called on him on Sunday, the President said, opposition would also be taken into confidence with regard to joint session of the Parliament on October 8, 2008. During the meting, issues related to joint session of the Parliament, reshuffle in Federal Cabinet, and overall political situation of the country came under discussion, sources in Presidency told Online.
The President and Prime Minister have decided to take Parliamentarians into confidence regarding War on Terrorism and law and order situation. During the meeting, it was also decided that opposition would also be invited in the joint session of the Parliament.
Issues related to PPP Central Executive Committee to be held on October 11 were also discussed. The meeting is likely to be chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to details, a joint session of the Parliament has been called at 5.00 pm on October 8 (Wednesday) in which an in-camera briefing on law and order situation in the country will be given by the intelligence agencies.
The Prime Minister has asked all parliamentarians to attend the joint session of Parliament. -Online
