 Mother of prime suspect arrested in Sara murder case

Samina Shah, the mother of Shahnawaz Amir, the primary suspect in the murder of Sara Inam, was taken into custody by Islamabad police on Wednesday.

After Additional Sessions Judge Sheikh Sohail denied Amir’s mother’s bail, the arrest happened.

It is important to note that Samina’s provisional release date was increased to October 19.

The killing

On September 23, Shahnawaz Amir was taken into custody by the Islamabad Police on suspicion of killing his wife, Sara Inam.

The suspect and his mother allegedly resided at their farmhouse in the Chak Shehzad neighbourhood of Islamabad, where she was allegedly murdered.

According to sources cited by The Express Tribune, Sara, a Canadian national and the third wife of the accused, arrived in Pakistan a day earlier from Dubai.

Sources claim that Shahnawaz beat Sara on the head with an iron dumbbell after the two had a fight about a home matter.

The guy allegedly killed his wife and then dumped her body in a bathtub. Later, the accused was detained by the police, who then transported him to Shahzad Town Police Station for more inquiry.

The case has also included nominations for the accused’s parents.
