AJK cabinet body okays 20 schemes worth Rs.5.15bn

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJK Cabinet Development Committee in its meeting held here on Tuesday approved twenty schemes costing over 5.15 billion rupees.
AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan presided over the meeting.
These schemes are relating to Communication, Health and Power Development Organization.
Construction of a hydropower project in district Haveli, up-gradation of Kashmir Institute of Cardiology Mirpur, up-gradation, construction of fifteen different main, link roads and construction of three RCC bridges. One each in Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Mirpur districts.
A committee headed by Secretary Planning and Development was also constituted. The committee will frame recommendations for the water supply schemes in rural and urban areas.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan directed ministers to start visits across the state and identify people problems.
He also directed to ensure all basic facilities to the population living along Control Line and adjacent areas. All departments must establish their offices near Control Line to address problems of the people on time.
The Cabinet Development Committee also offered fatiha for the departed soul of Air Marshal (Retd) Asghar Khan.
