This marks the fourth such incident in the past two years, raising concerns over illegal human trafficking networks and the dangers faced by migrants attempting perilous sea journeys.

- The Pakistani Embassy in Tripoli has dispatched a team to Zawiya Hospital to assist in identifying the deceased and coordinate with local authorities.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Crisis Management Unit has been activated to gather further details on Pakistani nationals involved.
- FIA Crackdown: The Establishment Division has removed the Director General (DG) FIA and dismissed over 40 officials for their alleged involvement in human smuggling networks.
Libyan Authorities’ Efforts
- The Libyan Red Crescent confirmed the recovery of 10 bodies in Zawiya and handed them over to local authorities.
