KARACHI: The Blood Drive was attended by Consul General of Indonesia Totok Prianamto, President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Junaid Makda , the Vice President KCCI Asif Sheikh Javaid, Chairman Diplomatic Missions & Embassies Liaison Subcommittee Shamoon Zaki, Founder/CEO AMTF Dr. Asim Qidwai, Executive Director AMTF Ateeq-ur-Rehman, Corporate Coordinator AMTF Mazhar Qasim, Members of Business Community, Members of Pakistan Indonesia Business Forum and large numbers of Members of Indonesia Community in Karachi, says a Press release.
While welcoming the guests, H.E Consul General of Indonesia Totok Prianamto appreciated the efforts of AMTF and its team for the outstanding work being carried out for the advocacy and treatment of thalassemia by them in Karachi. He emphasized on collaboration between both the brotherly countries in all fields of trade, industry, education and more importantly on Health
Donating Blood and addressing the august gathering the Chief Guest Junaid Esmail Makda (President, KCCI) praised and thanked the Indonesian community in Karachi for devoting themselves as coming forward for donating the blood in such large number for saving the lives of thalassemia children at AMTF.
Dr. Asim Qidwai Founder & CEO, AMTF, explained in detail about AMTF and its future plans. He said that AMTF is a pride of Pakistan endeavoring and contemplating to sustain lives of almost 1500 registered blood disorder and thalassemia children with state of the art facilities under one roof like, I.C.U, Laboratory, Blood Bank, Day Care, Dedicated Clinics, etc. without cash counter.
“Transfusion of blood and blood products save millions of lives every year like victims of trauma, emergencies, inherited disorders, accidents and patients under advance medical and surgical procedure”, said Ateeq Ur Rehman, Executive Directo , AMTF.
Ateeq emphasized to promote the community values of blood donation in enhancing community solidarity and encouraging people to care for one another. Also to promote awareness that blood donation is a philanthropic action that benefits all of society and that an adequate supply can only be ensured through regular donations by voluntary unpaid donors.
