ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday slapped ban on telecasting results of General Elections 2018 till 7PM on the Election Day [July 25].
As per details garnered, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) chairman Mohammad Saleem Baig called on electoral body secretary Mohammad Yaqoob here in Islamabad today. Baig informed Yaqoob that PEMRA was taking every step to ensure implementation of code of conduct for media on the Election Day.
As per statement released by ECP, a media cell has been erected here at ECP Secretariat which would provide timely and certified results.
General Elections 2018 will be held on July 25. – NNI
