FBR issues e-payment guidelines, says Haris

KARACHI: Haris Ansari, Additional Collector of Automation and Reforms has said that FBR is providing round the clock facility to pay customs duties, taxes and other dues electronically from any bank account through internet and ATM for clearance of consignments via Weboc System.

This was disclosed by him at the first meeting of the newly formed Standing Committee of FPCCI on Customs Agents at Federation House Clifton, here Monday.
He said, Clearing Agents or Traders login to WeBoc system for filling the goods declaration successfully by generating 20 digit payment slip, ID (PSID), upon confirmation, the bank account of trader shall be debited and message of successful transaction shall be visible on the screen, he explained.

Earlier to his descriptive presentation, Chairman, FPCCI standing Committee on Customs Agents, Mohammad Sajid welcomed all the participants who are attending this session for the cause of facilitation of trade activities. He also requested FBR to computerize this system completely that token payments and Test Report payments will also submit through this system.

Chairman APCAA Supreme Council Arshad Jamal opened up the floor for question and answers session.

The traders of Northern region Lahore, Sialkot and Rawalpindi also attended this meeting with Video Link and Amjad Choudhry, Chairman All Pakistan Customs Alliance appreciated FBR efforts for introducing innovation. The other dignitaries who attended the meeting were Senior Vice Chairman FPCCI Tariq Haleem, Shakil Dhingra, Chairman APCCA Qamar Alam.
