KARACHI: The Generation’s Family Eve and Open House was momentous in gathering the community and celebrating togetherness. Families and friends flocked to Generation’s School, South Campus on the pleasant evening, says a Press release.
The purpose of the Family Eve was to bring the community closer, strengthening familial ties in an environment comfortable to the families. Parents, grandparents, children, extended families, and visitors swarmed to the inviting activity zones and display areas. The key highlights of the Family Eve included a grand book fair, poetry recitals, exhibits of students’ learning, drama performances, stalls for snacks and meals and children’s activities.
Dr. Ghazala Siddiqui, Founding Principal and CEO of Generation’s School said, “Something about the purpose of bringing the community together and giving them productive opportunities to channel positivity and thus growth mindset.”
The Indus Hospital Blood Centre participated in the Family Eve. The blood camp created awareness and offered parents and visitors the opportunity to respond to a vital need of the society. The Hospital staff had conducted awareness sessions before the event to educate the teachers and students of Generation’s School on the mutual benefits of donating blood. Detailed information was also shared with the parents to create more awareness, offering them the opportunity to donate blood at the event.
A large number of visitors gave blood in a safe and hygienic environment made available at the Family Eve. Guests and visitors appreciated and supported the drive.
The visitors enjoyed the stroll around the school campus and visited the learning spaces to gather insights about the school’s culture of teaching and learning.
Families relished their favorite delights at the food stalls. It was peculiar to note the cleanliness, especially around the food stalls and eating areas. The environment offered visuals serving as creative reminders to observe self-discipline and demonstrate social responsibility – certainly some valuable takeaways for the evening.
The Generation’s Family Eve and Open House was a great opportunity for some quality family time and community building within the thriving and inspiring culture of a well-managed school. Carnivals and festivals as such enliven the communal spirit and bring people closer, which is key to sustaining a healthy society.
