KARACHI: Ghazi Club has won the 5h Abdul Razak Arain Rocball Tournament 2019 organised by Pakistan Rocball Federation(R) & Sindh Rocball Association(R) here at Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad Karachi from 22nd to 25th May 2019 in collaboration with Sindh Sports Board. As many as 20 different clubs and departmental teams participated in this mega event. Draws were divided four Pools (A-B-C-D).
Semi Final Matches: In 1st Semi Final, Ghazi Club Beat Ali Jawani, 2-0 Sets, (15-13, 15-14) 2 Goal Ghazi Club, 2 Goal Azhar Azhar; In 2nd Semi Final, Bahria United beat Al Jadoon, 2-0 sets (15-12, 15-13), 2 Goal Bahria United Obid, 1 Goal Al Jadoon.
Third Position: Al Jadoon beat Ali Jawani, 2-0 sets, (15-13, 15-12), 1 Goal Al Jadoon, & Final Matches: Ghazi Sports beat Bahria United, 2-1 sets, (15-13, 12-15, 15-14), 3 Goal Ghazi Club, 2 Goal Bahria United.
The Final match was supervised by Shoaib Ahmed and Sarfarz Ahmed National Umpire of Pakistan Rocball Federation.
Teams Ranking: 1st Position: Ghazi Club; 2nd Position Bahria United; and 3rd Position: Al Jadoon Club.
The Best player Goal Keeper of the tournament, Obid from Bahria United, 9 Goal and Best player Spiker from City Sports 6 Goals.
Akram Rana, Rana Textile & Saeed Ahmed Arain Chairmen Pakistan Rocball Federation was the Chief Guest in Closing ceremony and Ms Ume Laila Kalsoom General Secretary Pakistan Rocball Federation to presented Shields and Sindh Ajrak & Sindh cap to Chief Guests.
Chief Guest distributed prizes to the Winner, Runners-up and Third Position teams given the Cash Prizes Rs.150000, Trophies, Medals, Certificates and gift hampers to Team Captain, Guests, and T-Officials.
Ms. Ume Laila Kasloom General Secretary Pakistan Rocball Federation announce that the PRF is organizing the National Rocball Championship 2019 at Lahore in the month of August after that Pakistan Rocball Team would participate in Asian Rocball Men & Women Championship 2019 at Bangladesh from 20 to 24 November.
