Twenty six years ago Babri Masjid was demolished by the BJP and its ultra right organization RSS in Ayodhya (former Faizabad). The master mind was LK Advani who campaigned for many months inciting the extremist Hindu to destroy the masjid, as it was built by Emperor Babar in the year 1528-29 at the site of a Ram Temple which is denied by the Muslims. Even the archeologists after much research at the site came to the conclusion that there was no temple on which the Babri Masjid was erected. But LK Advani and his ultra right organization RSS did not agree with the findings and decided to demolish it. The other man behind the campaign against the Babri Masjid was incumbent Prime Minister Mr Narnedra Modi famous for the killing of Hundreds of Muslims in Gujrat. The campaign to destroy the masjid was successful as also hundreds of Muslims living in Ayodhya were ruthlessly butchered by the extremist Hindus particularly the RSS and its subordinate anti Muslim organizations during the destruction of the Babri Masjid. By demolishing the five hundred years old masjid the BJP won the elections and is now in power. It was sheer exploitation of religious sentiments against Muslims which brought the Hindu extremist nationalist party in power. Otherwise it had no significant following before the demolition of the historic Babri Masjid.
Now once again the BJP and its ultra right organization RSS has been trying to build Ram Temple where once Babri Masjid stood. The Muslim board has lodged an appeal in the Supreme Court of India not to allow the BJP government to build Ram Temple as there is no justification for that in the light of the findings of the archaeological department of India. The Supreme Court of India has withheld the decision but the extremist elements supported by the prime minister and his die hard anti Muslim organisation are putting extraordinary pressure on the Supreme Court to give judgment in favour of Ram Temple. This is yet another issue which would be exploited by the BJP to win the forthcoming elections in India as the BJP government has failed to fulfill its election manifesto like providing one million jobs for the youth and above all protecting the rights of minorities.
The killings of hundreds of Muslims in the Occupied Kashmir has already alienated the Muslims in the length and breadth of India. The chances of winning the April General Elections by BJP are very thin. The BJP has already lost elections in the key states and the media analysis in India predict that the next government will be formed by the National Congress headed by Rahul Gandhi.
This scribe has also learnt from Indian press that the judges of Indian Supreme Court are under severe threat by the RSS pressurizing them to give judgment in favour of building the Ram Temple at the site of Babri Masjid. So the next general election campaign in India by the BJP will be based on building the Ram Temple exploiting the religious sentiments of poor Indian illiterate masses as well bashing Pakistan as was done in the past general election of India.
Is it a secular India as envisaged in the Indian constitution? Meanwhile, the Muslim living in an around Ayodhya are feeling in secure and scared as the extremist ultra right organization of India are threatening Muslims and forcing them to keep mum if the judgment of the Indian Supreme Court is announced in favour of building Ram Temple. Most of the political analyst in India fear that the extremist Hindu elements supported by RSS will again unreached the reigns of terrorist upon Muslim who are already living in constant fear because of Narindra Modi’s anti Muslim policies subjugating them to live like a second rate citizens.
