Nasir Shah assures APNS payments of dues this month
Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah assured the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) that dues of newspapers against advertisements released by Sindh Information Department will be cleared during the current month.
He said Sindh Government will cooperate with the media community to resolve their all issues. He was addressing as Chief Guest at the “Convention on Problems faced by Print Media Industry especially Small and Medium Sized Publications” arranged by APNS during the reported week.
Sarmad Ali, Secretary General APNS in his address said that reading habits are going down due to electronic media so that newspapers should be act as viewspapers. If they will include view in current news then readership will definitely increase. Javed Jabbar, Mumtaz Pulphoto and various others also addressed the seminar.
Sindh Information Minister meets KEC delegation
After the seminar arranged by APNS, Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh Information Minister met the delegation of Karachi Editors Club (KEC) comprising Mubasher Mir, Mukhtar Aqil, Haseena Jatoi, Manzar Naqvi, Najamuddin Shaikh, and Mazhar Abbas Rizvi and assured his cooperation to KEC. He said soon he will be attending KEC “Meet the Editors” programme.
Tourism potential in Balochistan
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that Balochistan offers immense opportunities for investment in tourism sector and resources. This was stated by him while addressing a seminar held at local hotel in Karachi as a chief guest during the reported week.
He talked extensively about cultural and tourism diversity in the province and we are at the path of progress, whereas other speakers from the private and public sectors spoke about vast potential Balochistan offers in tourism sector. Seminar on “Promotion of Tourism in Balochistan” was organized by Culture, Tourism and Archives Department of Balochistan.
Secretary Culture Tourism and Archives Department Zafar Ali Buledi shared their presentations on the rich cultural heritage and tourist sites of Balochistan.
Other speakers said that Balochistan has immense potential for tourism and tremendous opportunities for investors rich in mineral resources. The province that makes almost 44% of Pakistan’s total area still remains the mystery to the whole world.
Captain (Retd) Fazeel Asghar Chief Secretary Aftab-ur-Rana, Nadeem Sharif, Chairman TAAP (Travel Agents Association of Pakistan), Chairman Prime Minister’s Task Force on Tourism Zeb, DG Balochistan Coastal Development Authority, Babar Khan, Director Tourism, Touqir Ali, Haji Usman Ghani, Mansoor Kadwai, Mian Zahid, Sardar Popalzai, Azra, Nasrullah Al Balushi, Huma Mustafa and other distinguished guests and officials were also present at the seminar.
Farooq Sattar visits Gradsy
Renowned politician from Karachi Farooq Sattar visited Gradsy Institute and inspired the students and audience through his oratory. He gave direction to students to get the goal and to make Pakistan a country of gentlemen. He focused on the vitals and economic indicators of Pakistan. He said in the election of Mayor we expect young people will be preferred and he stressed on youth to give vote to young people without making distinction of political affiliations. He said Mustafa Kamal became Mayor when he was 33 and when I became Mayor I was just 27. We both did maximum and went beyond compass for the development of the city.
Anjum Nisar was the chief guest on this occasion. Dr. Farooq presented Gold Medal to him on behalf of the Institute. Late mother of Anjum Nisar and wife Mrs. Anjum Nisar were also blessed with certificates of Pride of Performance. Mrs. Nazia Anjum received the Pride of Performance from Dr. Farooq Sattar.
Sameer Sheikh encouraged and appreciated Gradsy a lot and requested Anjum Nisar to support Gradsy as he said he has witnessed that the Management of the Institute particularly Zakir Ahmed is working 24/7 for students. He said Zakir left UK and Dubai just for the sake of youth of Pakistan.
Mohsin Rizvi, Producer of Drama Nadan Nadia, Nagey Paon, Chand Girahen and Kashkol appreciated Gradsy and he said I met students and I am highly impressed with the education system of Gradsy, he said business community must support Gradsy.
Yaqoob Sultan was given a souvenir for his remarkable success. Zakir said their students are working at top level. He appreciated Yaqoob working at AKD Investment as Chief Operating Officer. Yaqoob’s mother and wife were happy and the souvenir was given to Yaqoob by his mother and wife.
Chairman Sameer Zakir said he will give better education to his students and there is no doubt one day Pakistan will become the most prosperous country. He thanked to all guests and students.
