Arie and Emil celebrate Pak Independence Day at Karachi

Emil Wyss, former Swiss Consul General at Karachi and internationally social work activist and philanthropist along with his wife Arie, was in the metropolis to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. They love Pakistan, especially Karachi, and actively involved in various social organizations at Karachi since long which are serving actively for humanity with honestly like AMTF where he donates blood for thalassemia children regularly and various other NGOs working for special children, old age houses, disabled etc.
This year on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan on 14 August 2018, Arie and Emil reached in the morning and flew back to home Switzerland in the same evening after attending more than seven activities of different organisations.
They attended the flag hoisting ceremony at the Quaid-i-Azam’s Mausoleum. Later both visited Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation where they donated blood for Thalassemia major children, Stanmore School for Independence Day event, Markaz-e-Umeed school for special children, Darul Sakoon for children with mental and physical challenges, PAF Museum to attend Independence Day celebrations organized by Pakistan Academic Consortium, Bint-e-Fatima Old Home (Trust) for homeless women and in the evening Just before leaving for the airport, the Swiss duo spoke to local journalists. “Because of the wonderful two years we spent in Pakistan, and the excellent connection we have with our friends and the hospitable Pakistani people, we will never miss a chance to regularly visit this beautiful country”, Emil and Arie joyously mentioned.

14th Corporate Ambassador Award

Javed Mahmood, Chief Editor Weekly Corporate Ambassador in connection with Independence day of Pakistan organized 14th Corporate Ambassador Awards at Beach Luxury Hotel Karachi during the reported week.
Shaukat Mahmood Executive Vice President (EVP) and Group Chief of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) was the chief guest on this occasion who distributed awards among the awardees along with Rozina Jalal Chairperson of this award ceremony and organiser Javed Mahmood.
Mubasher Mir President Karachi Editors Club (KEC), Rozina Jalal, Asadaullah Bhatti, Dr Sikander Ali, Murtaza Mughal, Irtza Sarwer were among the speakers of this prestigious ceremony. Speakers appreciated continued efforts for exploring talents and appreciation by awarding Corporate Ambassador Awards since 2012. Since then Javed introduced around 500 talented persons of different filed by awarding the awards.
Farzana Mirza, famous singer of Pakistan sang National songs during the ceremony and she was appreciated all the audience due to her very nice and lovely performance.
Syed Ibn-e-Hassan, Agha Masood Hussain, Muhammad Aif, Javaria Tareen, Salman Ali, Dr Zahid Ansari, Anwar Aqeel, Dr Shafqat Munir, Muttahir Ahmed Khan, Syed Turab Shah and Humaira Motala were the guests of honour on this occasion.

Aaghosh Trust: All sets to reach next level

Aaghosh Trust serving for shelter less women from last 15 years whom ignored by their own families, by establishing Aghosh Home an old age women home at North Nazimabad, providing all nursing, medical, facilities, 80 percent women required to change daily pampers and can’t move from the bed, informed Shagufta Saba, President Aaghosh in a meeting of new trustees being inducted with aim to take Aaghosh at the next level during the reported week. The meeting was called to sign new amended trust deed.
Shagufta Saba, President, Shahla Ahmed, Vice President, Muhammad Jazib, General Secretary,
Mirza Haider Hussain Baig, Financial Secretary/Treasurer, Riaz Fatima, Kausar Parveen and Manzar Naqvi signed the trust deed as Trustee at the signing ceremony of the amended trust deed.
According to this amended trust deed, 12 points aim and objects of the trust are: To provide rehabilitation and care services for Senior Citizen, Aged, Poor, and destitute persons/women, provide special education and skills, provide community services, to establish and/or promote centers of education in schools/colleges and universities, provide health related facilities to the deserving patients, launch Rozgar Scheme for disable persons, provide means for marriages of poor and handicapped girls, provide vocational training to the community, establish, promote and run Shelter Homes for unattended and Senior Citizens, to achieve the said objectives to establish, maintain, run, develop and improve, extend, grant donations in cash and kind and assist in the establishment, maintenance, running, development, improvement and to carry out any activities with the intention of community services, establish, maintain, run, develop, improve, carry out, grant donations and to aid and assist institutions or activities for the benefit of the neglected and the needy members of the society, to do any act, whatsoever, for the purpose of fund raising.
All new trustees in the meeting assured Shagufat Saba President Aaghosh of their full cooperation to take Aaghaosh Trust at the new heights of services.

The fifteen Edition of the Mega Event Show “Pakistan Auto Show” 2019 scheduled to be held from 12 to 14th April with theme “Rising Pakistan” launched at Movenpick Hotel during the week.
