Javed organises 12th Corporate Ambassadors Awards
Javed Mahmood Chaudhry Chief Editor of weekly Corporate Ambassador orgainesed its 12th Corporate Ambassador Awards during the reported week at Aquarius Hall of Beach Luxury Hotel. On this occasion Managing Director of Arif Habib Commodities Ahsan Mehanti was the chief guest who in his address said that a total of $75 billion would be invested in the CPEC-related projects and infrastructure in Pakistan out of which $15 billion had already been invested here since the launching of this multi-billion dollars transnational project. Ahsan Mehanti appreciated the 12th Corporate Ambassador Awards and said that it was essential to promote appreciation to encourage and motivate people to achieve more milestones of success in future.

Beach Luxury Hotel hosts farewell dinner to CG USA
Azim Qureshi General Manager of Beach Luxury Hotel and famous and renowned personality of Hotel Industry of Pakistan hosted a farewell dinner in honour of Grace Shelton the Consul General of USA at Karachi during the reported week. On this occasion during the discussion with The Financial Daily she informed that she has been retired now and will be leaving Karachi in mid-February 2018 and next CG will be joining this office in the month of May 2018. She said her 18-month serving experience in Pakistan was very good. She said people of Karachi are very loving and cooperative, especially business community of Karachi extended their full cooperation with her during her tenure. She said she have wonderful memories during her stay at Karachi. She thanked all concerned particularly management of Hotel Beach Luxury Hotel for hosting the dinner and provide opportunity to say goodbye to over 100 friends including other diplomats at one place and one time.
Azim Qureshi on this occasion thanked Grace Shelton for accepting his request and managed time in her busy scheduled. He appreciated the services of Ms Shelton rendered during her short stay in Pakistan to promote bilateral and business relations among the two countries. He also thanked other envoys of different countries and distinguished guests who attended the dinner.
Governor Sindh meets Executive Body of Karachi Editors Club
Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair met the executive body of KEC at Governor House during the reported week. In the meeting he assured to resolve basic issues of KEC including office premises. On this occasion, he has asked his critics that role of the media is the key in identifying and resolving problems and to suggest their potential solutions is very important, that is why the current government can take all measures necessary for the freedom of the media. President KEC Mubasher Mir headed the seven-member delegation that included Vice President Mukhtar Aqil, General Secretary Manzar Naqvi, Secretary Finance Javed Mahmood, Members Executive Council, Agha Masood, Mukhtar Butt and Alveena Agha.
Governor Sindh said that as an individual responsible for the society, it is also the responsibility of journalists that they should identify public issues through proper reporting and raise the voice of the government, but also the good governance of government. It is because their journalism is responsible for informing the public facilities for them.
Karachi Editors Club President Mubasher Mir informed the Governor Sindh about the absence of office and residential facilities for editors, and requested him to cooperate with him in this connection.
