Generate $5 billion foreign exchange reserves for Pakistan
An Expatriate Pakistani currently living in Saudi Arabia, Rohail Khan who is a senior Banker, Philanthropist, Member BoD Gradsy Institute of Business and Technology Karachi and contributing for free higher education to deserving students at Karachi, has appealed to Pakistanis’ living overseas that “Beloved Pakistani Humwatano, time has come to support our country.”
He says that each Pakistani expatriate should send US$1,000 remittance to his family/home in Pakistan through banks. The forex thus generated will support Pakistan’s economy and ease the pressure.
“We have about 5 million Pakistani adult expatriates across the world. If each of us remits US$1,000, we can increase Pakistan’s reserves by US$5 billion within days! (In Sha Allah).”
He said, it is “not a donation” to the Government. It’s simply a remittance to your own family back home to meet their expenses. Further support would be, if you request your family to deposit the equivalent amount in Pakistani rupee in their own bank account and not withdraw this amount at least for a month.
