KARACHI: Under the supervision of football club Karachi, the Premier Football Cup 2020 in the final match Musa Lashari team defeated Burma Afridi by 2-1, Kabir from the Musa Lashari team on penalty did the first goal in 23 minutes and the second goal was done by Zakir Lashari in the 59th minutes. The match was played at Ibrahim Hyderi Baloch Mujahid football ground where more than 15000 people football lovers witnessed the match and this was the first time in the history of Pakistan that on district level championship such an event was organized and for the first time a lady commentator Anamta Khan did the commentary, says a Press release.
Chief Guest Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah in his speech said that to promote the football game on the district level to enhance the skills, a skill development program will be carried out.
He further said that the efforts made by Hamza Farooq is commendable. The honorary guest Qaiser Faqeer Muhammad Baloch said that the Karachi Premier football Cup was a historical city event in which huge number of peoples participated.
The prominent businessman Hammad Poonawala said that there plenty of talents in the football players and the qualified and experienced coaches can further enhance the ability and do the grooming of the players.
The founder and president of the Football Club Karachi thanked the Govt. of Sindh and specially the sports federation of Sindh for their cooperation. The premier football cup created a scene like the world cup football. The winning team was awarded with cash prize of Rs.50,000/- and the runner-up was given Rs.25000/- the fair play trophy was given to Musa Lashari and the best player trophy was awarded to Ali Khan Niazi.
Master Ghulam Rasool the match commissioner, Anees Akhter match official, the Refries were Abdul Ghafoor, Farooq Rao, Muhammad Saleem, and Wali Muhammad. Rais khan was awarded with the PRO shield, Nasir Ismail NBP Football Coach and the DHL football coach Arshad Jamal and the IBA representative Miss Farah participated as special guest.
