LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has criticized what he deems as the dual-standard of National Accountability Bureau by saying that if corruption of even a single penny is proved against him, he will be answerable to people.
Talking to audience in a ceremony, CM Shahbaz said that well-heeled elite is sermonizing others while it embezzled billions.
He said they should not talk about the poor of the country.
About metro train, he said that the mega project was halted for 22 months which the people of Lahore are avenging. He also paid tribute to the people of Lahore.
He also criticized Imran Khan saying that his job is protesting and holding sit-ins instead of working.
He said that the elite took loans of billions and had them written off which increased the gap between the poor and the rich. “Punjab Endowment Fund gave loans to 2 million people without any interest”, he said. – NNI
