NAB grills Shahbaz in Saaf Pani corruption

ISLAMABAD: Former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif appeared on Wednesday before NAB in the Saaf Pani Company corruption case.

The accountability bureau grilled the PML-N head for over one and a half hours. Earlier, NAB had summoned Shahbaz on July 5, however, upon his request, the hearing was moved to July 4.

Shahbaz submitted his answers in the case and has also been given a questionnaire regarding alleged corruption in Punjab Power Development Company. On June 25, NAB arrested PML-N leader and candidate from NA-59 Qamarul Islam Raja over his alleged involvement in the Saaf Pani scam. – NNI
