ISLAMABAD: The nation celebrates on Monday the birth anniversary of Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with renewed commitment to work hard for realization of ideas he envisioned for Pakistan.
It will be a public holiday and national flag will be hoisted atop all public and private buildings.
The day will dawn with Qur’an Khawani at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi. A change of guards ceremony will also be held at Mazar-e-Quaid.
A number of other events have been planned both at official and civil society levels to highlight life, achievements and different aspects of the personality of the Quaid.
Radio Pakistan will also broadcast special programmes, discussions, interviews and reports to highlight different phases of independence struggle and the leadership role of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Meanwhile, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly have said that every Pakistani should follow the golden principles of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to attain a respectable and dignified place for Pakistan in the comity of nations. They expressed these views in their separate messages to nation on 141st Birth Anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The Speaker said that Quaid-i-Azam was a great leader of 20th Century and was a symbol of integrity and honesty. He also desired that every citizen should have equal opportunities of education, health, progress and justice, he said.
The Deputy Speaker National Assembly said that the befitting way to pay tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is to forge unity among our ranks, work hard for the progress and prosperity of the country.
He said that we should focus on unity, faith and discipline in order to lead Pakistan to progress and prosperity. – NNI
