Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, during a press conference on Saturday, clarified that he has no plan to leave the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party.
He said that during high and low tides, he remained faithful to the party, adding that he had no grievances with the party. “I have no demands and never asked for any post from party,” he added.
Nisar said that he was not the one who makes groups and he wasn’t part of any independent group. “I do politics according to my own wishes,” he said. The former minister said that he is the founding member of the ruling party, adding that not a single founding member is in party now.
“If I were upset with the party then, at the time of Sharif’s disqualification, I could have very easily taken out 40-45 MNAs, But I did not because I have never played this game in my life. I am not a conspirator. Numerous MNAs came to me and they still do but I always tell them to articulate their own views but remain in the party,” he added.
