Pakistan and China have a friendship from the beginning. Pakistan-China relations are based on the principles of peaceful co-existence, commonality of interests and shared perception on regional and global issues.
Pakistan was the first country who recognised the communist government in China. Pakistanis are also happy because CPEC would bring employment in a country where unemployment is greater.
CPEC is a great initiative for people of the region, particularly for the people of Pakistan. It is truly a harbinger of economic development, prosperity and peace. Chinese investment in various fields, including energy, infrastructure, Gwadar Port and special economic zones could lay the foundation of a fast developing, progressive Pakistan.
The Pakistanis views are very much clear on CPEC as this great project will reshape the future of Pakistan. After completion of this great project Pakistan economy will stand on its own feet and will able to pay back the loan of IMF and World Bank. The CPEC will provide a great foreign reserve to Pakistan as Pakistan foreign reserves were dependent on exports and on foreign Pakistanis and CPEC will become the permanent source of foreign reserves. Pakistan after CPEC will have the safe and secure economy and will attain Asia higher growth rate. The CPEC will not only benefit the economy but also improve the development structure of Pakistan. The people of KPK, Balochistan, Sindh, and Punjab welcome the great initiative of China as all the provinces will be equally benefited from this great project.
CPEC will attract the world’s attention towards Pakistan which will become the hub of world’s economy through the Gwadar sea-port. The views of Pakistanis are that it is the project of game changer, for its economy and unemployment.
I am an optimistic person and foresee Pakistan Army will play big role in CPEC and it would make sure that it’s completed. It’s sad that some people used to say that policies have failed but it would not so, In Sha Allah. It will open the new doors of trade with all-weather friends.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a series of projects that stands to connect the Asian giant to Central Asia and Europe in the long run. CPEC will connect China’s largest province, Xinjiang, with Pakistan’s Gwadar port in Balochistan.
Pakistan enemies are not happy from CPEC. They do not want develop Pakistan. India fears from Gwadar, Pakistan and Pakistani peace-loving nation. India and its partner are against CPEC’s growth. It’s a game changer, India need to focus on its own peoples stop doing such activities.
India has invested in Iran’s Chabahar Port, just 72 km from its rival port. In May 2016, India, Iran, and Afghanistan signed a trade corridor deal giving India land access to Central Asia from Chabahar, bypassing Pakistan. The closest land route for India to access Central Asia is to the west, through Pakistan. Afghanistan will now have access to Indian Ocean, which was not possible without passing through Pakistan earlier. The Baloch separatists receive training in camps in Afghanistan established by India.
‘One Belt, One Road’ is like a symphony involving and benefiting every country, then construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is the sweet melody of the symphony’s first movement. India and other nations need to think for its own peoples and development rather using ‘toy guns’. Pakistan is much safer than before. Peace has been restored in Fata and adjoining areas.
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that benefits of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor should reach the people and stressed that all the institutions should cooperate with each another for its success. Another place, he said, “Let me assure the audience that the army and law enforcement agencies are vigilant and we are determined to provide foolproof security to CPEC. No one should have any doubt about our commitment to the project. We will make CPEC a success, In Sha Allah.”
The CPEC is a large-scale initiative to build energy, highway, and port infrastructure to deepen economic connections between China and Pakistan.
China and Pakistan have taken positive measures to help set up the CPEC for success.
After general election 2018, PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s who is prime minister-in-waiting, in his victory speech said that with China, his government would explore investment under umbrella of CPEC and would learn from their expertise on poverty alleviation and corruption control. We will strengthen and improve our relations with China. We want to work towards success of CPEC. We also want to send teams to learn poverty alleviation from China.
