Police share gifts on Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: According to details, on the directions of Inspector General NH&MP Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, under the supervision of Addl. IG, NH&MP (North Region) Ghulam Rasool Zahid, DIG N-5 North Zone, Muhammad Waqar Abbasi has said that special arrangements were made for the provision of free flow of traffic to commuters on this auspicious occasion Pakistan’s 71st Independence Anniversary, says a Press release.
DIG North Zone informed that a detailed traffic plan was devised for N-5 North Zone which consists of G.T Road from Peshawar to Lahore including Murree Expressway.
DIG said that officers were directed to provide prompt help to the distressed road users and to maintain free flow of traffic in their respective areas of responsibility.
DIG further said that Sector Commanders SSP Waheed Ur Rehman Khattak, SSP Sheryar Sikandar and SP Salman Ali Khan remained present in their sectors as well as DSPs in their Beat areas to implement the traffic plan in true letter and spirit so that any untoward situation could be avoided.
Addl. I.G, NH&MP Ghulam Rasool Zahid has visited special road safety stall which was arranged at IMDC Murree Expressway wherein gift packs and sweets were distributed amongst the road users and children.
DIG North said that conduct of such activities plays a pivotal role in establishing healthy police-public relationships and officers of N-5 North Zone shall keep striving to contribute towards development of our beloved Country and this mission shall prevail in future.
