ISLAMABAD: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was an open war against Islam and the Ummah, and the whole Ummah stood united on the issue.
Talking to the media at the Karachi airport on his arrival from Lahore, he however said that the dream of Greater Israel would not be allowed to materialize.
Sirajul Haq said that role of the Muslim rulers in the prevailing situation was most undesirable. He however said that the JI Million March in Karachi on Dec. 17 would be a show of nation’s unity and the Ummah and this would give a message to the US and Israel that the Muslim world go to any extent for the liberation of the Qibla-e-Awwal.
The JI chief impressed upon the Muslims states to take solid steps against the US President. He called for expelling the US envoys from the Muslim states. He said there was no response by the Muslim rulers against the US President’s decision.
Sirajul Haq said that the government was once again facing an economic crisis and had been forced to approach the IMF. Dollar rate had gone up and the country had suffered loss to the tune of 15 billion dollars within a few days.
The JI chief said that the government itself was a hurdle in the FATA reforms. However, he said, that if the tribal people were not given their rights, the hand of the tribal people would be on the rulers throat.
Meanwhile, the JI chief called on the chief of the Darul Uloom Naeemia and Chairman, Roet e Hilal Committee, Mufti Munibur Rahman and discussed with him the situation facing the Muslim Ummah. The two leaders termed US decision accepting Jerusalem as Israel capital a grave threat o the world peace.
Mufti Sahib supported the JI Million march on Dec. 17 on the issue of Qibla-e-Awwal. He called upon the government to take practical steps in this regard and announce boycott of US goods. – NNI
