RAWALPINDI: The Chehlum (Arbaeen-e-Hussaini) of Shaheed-e-Azam and Mohsin-e-Insaniyyat Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 diehard companions was observed with traditional religious spirit, devotion and respect throughout the world and the country. Matmi processions were taken out in all cities of the country in which the devotees of Risalat and Hussainiyyat participated without any discrimination of religion and Maslak and paid homage to the evergreen sacrifices of the Nawasa-e-Rasool (A.S.) while unity and brotherhood was also witnessed viz processions, Sabeels and Langar arrangements.
In Rawalpindi, main Chehlum procession was taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohallah, Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah Bohar Bazar. The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya, Pakistan, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi participated in the procession, offered Ziarat of the Taburrakaat and performed Matamdari.
Addressing the mourners and media during the main procession Chehlum, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that Hussain (A.S.) the foundation of La Illaha. Hussain (A.S.) is the refuge of religion. The policies of disbelief cannot go hand in hand. As long as the ideology of Pakistan is not given priority, Pakistan will continuously be asked to do more and it will be forced to stand in the dock. The Riasat-e-Madinah cannot be the one where the processions and gatherings of the Prophet’s (SAAW) grandson Hussain (A.S.) are stopped even at home. The Riasat-e-Madinah will be the one in which the Charter of Madinah will be the one that guarantees the protection of the rights of all religions and all sects are guaranteed. What type of Riasat-e-Madinah it is where nudity and obscenity are allowed at home along with fast music but Majlis of the Farzand-e-Rasool (A.S.) is not being allowed? He said the devotees of the Ahle Bait (A.S.) are also being deprived of their human rights.
The TNFJ chief warned all and the sundry that the desire to suppress Zikr-e-Hussain cannot be fulfilled. He said the spread of Yazidi thoughts instead of Hussain’s (A.S.) is worrisome. He lamented that even the Founder of the Nation is being called names which provides food for thought. All arrangements for the Riasat-e-Madinah should be the same as were desired by Hussain’s (A.S.) grandfather Muhammad Mustafa (SAAW). Replying to a query about the arrangements for Chehlum of Shuhada-e-Karbala, he said the arrangement would be effective only when Takfiri slogans were stopped and ban on mourning was lifted. He said in the elections in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Cantonment Boards, banned parties participated in all elections proving that the ban on only names of these parties is futile.
Agha Moosavi said that the two chapters of the story of devotion are Karbala and Damascus. The invaluable sacrifice for the protection of human values was protected by the Aseeran-e-Karbala. The Yazidi army trampled the bodies of the Shuhada-e-Karbala.
The bodies of the Yazidi forces were buried but there was no one to bury the Shuhada-e-Karbala rather the heads of the Shuhada-e-Karbala were raised on spears; the first head raised on the spear in the history of Islam was that of Imam Hussain (A.S.), the grandson of the Holy Prophet (SAAW). The Aseeran-e-Karbala along with heads of the Shuhada raised on spears were passed through the bazaars, but it is a miracle of the Aseeran-e-Karbala and Nawasi-e-Rasool Syeda Zainab (S.A.) that today the flag of Hussainiyyat (A.S.) flutters high in Syria (Shaam) (A.S.) instead of Yazidism.
The Quaid-e-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that in Arbaeen-e-Hussain in Karbala has become the largest gathering which is also the Sunnah and memorial of the holy Companions like Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari (R.A.) to every oppressed person in the world. He said every oppressed of the world is seen paying homage to Shuhada-e-Karbala and Aseeran-e-Karbala who did great good not only to Islam but also to humanity; granted, taught the practical lesson of sticking to the truth, showed the way to subdue the powerful through peaceful struggle. It is a pity that today the message of Imam Hussain (A.S.) is resounding in all corners of the world as a lesson for the oppressors. Raising the slogan of Labbaik Ya Hussain (A.S.), the message is being sent to the oppressors that as long as the Dars-e-Hurriyyat given by the Prophet’s (SAAW) grandson Hussain (A.S.) remain, no tactic of oppression can suppress the spirit of freedom of the oppressed.
Later, addressing the main gathering of the Chehlum procession at Fawwara Chowk, Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi highlighted the invaluable sacrifice of Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) for the survival of religion of Islam and humanity. He said whether it is Arbaeen or Azadari, these are the memories of Syeda Binte Ali (S.A.), Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.) and Aseeran-e-Karbala who delivered heart-rending Khutbaat in the courts of Yazid and Ibne Ziad and the streets of Kufa and Shaam shattering the Yazidi courts. He said that Azadari processions will continue till the 8th Rabiul Awwal and these processions should be given complete protection under the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement. He also declared to observe the Milada-e-Mustafa with the spirit of oneness and brotherhood. Others who also spoke on the occasion were Dr. N.H Naqvi and Hassan Kazmi while Abu Nasim Bukhari presented the resolutions which were passed by the participants unanimously with loud slogans. Scholars and senior officials of the movement participated in the procession till the end.
After performing Zanjeer-Zani at Fawwara Chowk, the participants of the main Chehlum procession reached Raja Bazar and Purana Qila where Zuljinah processions taken out from Imambargah Kashmirian Tyre Bazar, Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh also merged into the main procession. The main Chehlum procession terminated at Imambargah Qadeem after passing through Jamia Masjid Road and Imambara Chowk. Mukhtar Students Organisation District Rawalpindi had set up Azadari Camp at Fawwara Chowk and Mukhtar Organisation had set up Azadari Camp near Imambargah Qadeemi Hussaini Mohaz where MSO and MO workers and children belonging to Mukhtar Generation performed their duties. Ibrahim Scouts had set up Medical Camps at Habib Bank Chowk, Raja Bazar and Jamia Masjid Road to facilitate the Matmis. Office-bearers of Divisional and District Muharram Committees of the Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya and MF volunteers remained with the procession throughout along with heavy contingent of police.
Meanwhile, according to information reaching the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih, Arbaeen-e-Hussaini Chehlum Shuhada-e-Karbala processions were taken out from all small and big cities and town including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sukkur, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Jhang, Sargodha, Layyah, Khushab, Chakwal, Jhelum, Dera Murad Jamali, and Jacobabad.
