RAWALPINDI: To mark World Peace Day, AGAPE Pakistan and the Interfaith Committee from Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt, and Hassan Abdal launched the campaign “Stand Up for Children in War” under the leadership of David Paul, General Secretary AGAPE Pakistan, and Pandit Rakesh Chand. The delegation called on Mr. Isphanyar Bhandara to inaugurate the initiative, joining global voices advocating for children affected by conflict.
A peace walk was also held, where Mr. Bhandara appealed for urgent protection of children trapped in wars. He emphasized that children deserve schools instead of shelters, and dreams instead of despair, highlighting the dire plight of children in Gaza and Indian-occupied Kashmir. He urged the world community to work toward peace so that the innocence of childhood may be preserved.
