ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiative Asad Umar has stressed the need for using science and technology in future course of action against COVID-19.
The minister for planning, development & special initiative chaired a meeting of National Command and Operation Center on Wednesday to discuss future course of action against coronavirus.
The meeting discussed digital tracking and tracing mechanism for identification of hotspots, clusters to isolate targeted areas, containment efforts in affected areas, supply chain support and enhancing testing capacity from present six thousand per day to twenty thousand per day.
The meeting also discussed youth participation in relief efforts and Ehsaas Program through which Rs 150 billion would be disbursed amongst the deserving families. – TLTP
