ISLAMABAD: In order to facilitate exports and other trade activities, Federal Board of Revenue’s Customs Wing has issued instructions to all Customs field formations to work as normal working days on 8th, 10th and 11th of May, 2021. State Bank of Pakistan has already issued instructions to the relevant banks to operate on May 8th, 10th and 11th, 2021 to facilitate all trade related activities.
All the Customs field formations have been directed to issue duty roasters of the officers/officials for the Eid holidays so that the exports and essential/perishable import consignments are processed/cleared without delay during Eid Holidays. Port Authorities, Terminal Operators, off-dock terminals and land border stations have been apprised of these steps. All trade bodies and associations have been informed of the above instructions and the daily duty roaster of Custom staff/officers has also been shared with them. The aim of all this exercise is to provide uninterrupted service to our exporters during Eid Holidays so that they can fulfill their export orders & thus help in strengthening domestic economy in these difficult times of COVID-19.
