KARACHI: The US dollar Friday continued strengthening against Pakistani rupee for the second consecutive day and its value in interbank reached Rs163.10 after an increase of Rs1.12.
According to a tweet of State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar was opened at Rs161.98 and closed at Rs163.10 in the interbank. During the last two days, the dollar gained Rs2.18.
Meanwhile, the foreign reserves of the country stand at $18.59 billion as of May 21, said State Bank of Pakistan on Friday. There has been a decrease of around $20 million in the foreign reserves during the last week. – TLTP
