Forex reserves decrease by $22.8mn in a week

KARACHI: Pakistan’s forex reserves decreased by $22.80 million (0.11 percent) during one week and the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US $20,379.60 million on Dec 11, 2020.
According to data published by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the foreign exchange reserves of the country were at $20.402 billion by week ended December 04, 2020. The foreign exchange reserves of the SBP increased by $0.30 million from $13.298 billion to $13.299 billion during the week.
The foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks fell by $23 million to $7.081 billion by week ended December 11, 2020 as compared with $7.104 billion a week ago. – TLTP
