HYDERABAD: Addressing participants at a seminar titled “Role of Mirza Imam Ali Baig Saail in Sindhi Marsiya,” organized by the Hyderabad Azadari Committee, Dr. Mirza Imam Ali Baig Afsar, Zawar Abdul Sattar Dars, Faheem Ahmed Babar, Maulana Zahid Hussain Jafari, Muhammad Warris Abbasi, Syed Muhammad Zaki Shah Jehania, and others expressed their views at Abbasia Library, Qasimabad, Hyderabad, says a Press release.
On this occasion, Dr. Mirza Imam Ali Baig Officer shed light on the services of Mirza Murad Ali Baig Saail in the inception of Sindhi Marsiya.
He said that the fortune of Mirza Murad Ali Baig Saail’s family persists today, as over 30 Marsiya writers and poets in his family continue to contribute to the genre on solid foundations.
The seminar commenced with Marsiya recitations by Mirza Muhammad Mohsin Baig, Mirza Dabeer Baig, Mirza Masood Raza Baig, and other Marsiya reciters, while the organizational responsibilities were conducted by Raza Hussain Raja.
