KARACHI: Breast cancer is a disease, not taboo as said by our First Lady of the Province Mrs. Reema Ismael who graced the breast cancer awareness session as the Chief guest at head office Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) at Karachi. She said that healthy women will form the healthy family and ultimate healthy society, so it’s the dire need that they have to take care of their health.
Sheikh Sultan Rehman Senior Vice President FPCCI addressed before the chief guest and emphasized on family values that we as brother, father and husband has to support our females in his inaugural remarks.
Convener women entrepreneur committee 2020, FPCCI and Organizer of this awareness Program Ms Nazli Abid Nisar said: “Today we are gather to take a mission of our first lady Mrs Sameena Alvi to move forward in this month of October for Breast cancer awareness, and presence of Misbah Khalid here who is the Team leader of her task force witnessed her commitment to this cause. We are here with our sisters and brother for raising awareness regarding this disease and sharing our societal issues.”
She thanked all ladies respected guests and chief guest who are here to discuss about disease especial thanks to Mrs Reema Imran Ismail wife of Governor Sindh, Consultant Plastic & Burns Surgeon Professor Shaista Affendi, Dr Kausar Rehman Breast Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Misbah Khalid Director RINSTRA & her team and Special pray for 02 Breast cancer survivors Sadia Siddiqee/Educationists and Writer Haseena Moeen.
Dr Kausar Rehman from South City Hospital delivered an informative presentation and said after every 13 minutes one woman died because of breast cancer. She said women are at more risk if Pregnancy occurs after 30 years. She responded a question and said our urban areas females are at more risk than our rural areas females because multiple pregnancies and 12 years breast feeding prevent them from this cancer/Mallingnat Tumor. But as compared to our urban women did not afford more than 2 babies and hence the breast feed will not continue for more than five years. She stressed for self-examination every week and fears about our young women who are more at risk of that malignant cancer.
The program is hosted by Anita Khan and Farah Khan. WCCI Sub Convener of East and South Afzala Shaheen and Nausheen Kamran also addressed. SVP of Businessmen Panel Mian Zahid Hussain, former Minister Sindh also joined at the end and presented the shield to chief guest.
