KARACHI: Secretary Health Sindh, Mr. Tahir Hussain Sangi, visited Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi to review the progress and implementation of the proposed hospital master plan.
During the visit, Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari briefed the Secretary on various components of the project, including infrastructure development and future expansion strategies.
Mr. Sangi also held a meeting with officials from the Works & Services Department and issued directives for the timely completion of a warehouse facility. In addition, the team of the Deputy Commissioner South was mobilized to demolish dilapidated structures within the hospital premises to clear obstacles hindering upcoming development work.
The Medical Superintendent further shared a comprehensive plan for the relocation of the Outpatient Department (OPD), aimed at vacating space required for the construction of a proposed Medical Tower. This move is expected to facilitate the timely initiation of the project.
Emphasizing urgency, the Secretary Health directed all concerned departments to expedite work in line with the instructions of Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho. He stressed the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination and adherence to the project timeline to ensure its prompt execution.
