Zafar Abbas announces launch of Free IT City at IT Lahore Future Fest

LAHORE: The anticipation of a Free IT City in Lahore becoming a reality is on the verge of realization, as confirmed by Joint Development Committee (JDC) General Secretary Zafar Abbas during his address at the IT Future Fest in Karachi.
The three-day IT Future Fest, held at the Expo Center Lahore, witnessed the participation of international and local experts in the field of information technology. Zafar Abbas, along with the Caretaker Minister for Human Rights, Mashal Malik, attended the event as special guests. Arzeesh Azam, the founder of Future Fest, also graced the occasion.
During his speech, General Secretary Zafar Abbas highlighted the services rendered by JDC and unveiled a significant development-the allocation of a site by the Punjab government in Model Town Lahore for the establishment of an Army Public School (APS) and the subsequent creation of a Free IT City.
Zafar Abbas assured the audience that the implementation of the Free IT City is well underway, with rapid progress indicating an imminent inauguration. In this technological hub, Zafar Abbas emphasized that the latest and most important courses, including artificial intelligence, will be provided free of charge.
“Karachi IT City, established just last year, stands as a testament to the success of our initiatives,” stated Zafar Abbas. He proudly shared that within eight months of its inception, approximately 80 thousand individuals have enrolled in free courses, now earning substantial incomes each month.
General Secretary JDC concluded his address by shedding light on various other ongoing projects undertaken by the committee, showcasing their commitment to technological advancements and skill development.
