KARACHI: The 2nd T-20 Interloop Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup 2023 will start from 04th October 2023 by the inauguration match between India vs Nepal at TU International Cricket Stadium Kathmandu Nepal, says a Press release.
Announcing the event, Rookhsana Rajpoot, President, Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council & CEO, International Council of Wheelchair Cricket has said that total five teams will be participated host Pakistan, co-host Nepal, India, Bangladesh & Srilanka. Total 11 matches will play including the final on 9th October 2023 at the same venue.
Pakistan is the host of Asia Cup & shifted the event in Nepal as the neutral venue due to current scenario of Pak-Indo relations. The generosity support by Pakistan Cricket Board to made possible to organize Asia cup at neutral venue.
Colorful opening and closing ceremonies also be the part of this mega event. All the participating teams will arrive at Kathmandu Nepal on 3rd October 2023 for press-meet of all the team captains with the heads of their associations. Pakistan will defend the title in this Asia Cup.
All the matches will be live on Action Sports Nepal with live streaming on all the official YouTube channel of Pakistan wheelchair cricket council & the International Council of Wheelchair Cricket (ICWC).
Cricket Association of Nepal the governing body of cricket in Nepal will be the logistic & technical partner of this Asia Cup. Many renowned artists will perform the cultural show at the opening & closing ceremonies.
