On the auspicious occasion of the 77th Founding Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, the Chinese leadership and the brotherly people of China.
The year 2026 is particularly significant as Pakistan and China celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations. During these seven and a half decades, our friendship has remained steadfast through changing regional and global circumstances and has evolved into an enduring All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership based on mutual trust, strategic confidence and shared aspirations.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, has transformed our economic partnership and contributed significantly to Pakistan’s infrastructure, energy and socio-economic development. As we advance towards the next phase of CPEC, our focus is on industrialization, trade and investment, agriculture, information technology, clean energy, connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.
Pakistan remains firmly committed to working with China to further deepen this iron-clad friendship and translate our strategic partnership into greater opportunities and prosperity for our peoples.
I am confident that Pakistan-China friendship will continue to grow stronger and contribute to peace, development and shared prosperity in our region and beyond.
