Dismissing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unfriendly speech the Foreign Office on Wednesday warned India against under-estimating the ability and determination of Pakistan’s armed forces to defend the country. Pakistan entirely renounced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s irresponsible and warlike remarks’. These remarks are another display of India’s incurable compulsion with Pakistan and the BJP government and leadership’s frustrate attempts to divert attention from rising domestic and international condemnation of their discriminatory, anti-Kashmir and anti-minority policies. The Indian prime minister’s menace and provocative statements further depict the extremist mindset that invades the BJP leadership and has evidently spread the state institutions in India. Mr Modi while addressing the national cadet corps on Tuesday had asserted that Indian troops, in case of war, would not need more than a week to 10 days to overthrow Pakistan. Mr Modi’s statement was the final in a number of antagonistic comments against Pakistan by the Indian leadership. Previously Indian army chief Gen Manoj Mukund Narvane while addressing his first press conference in Delhi after assuming charge claimed that Indian troops could also occupy Azad Kashmir if the Indian parliament mandated their army to do so. Pakistan has warned the world on numerous occasions over the previous few months about the possibility of India undertaking a military misfortune against Pakistan. The hazard of such a false step has increased because of disturbing India’s domestic situation as protests against the controversial Indian citizenship law and National Register of Citizens spread across the country. Further the occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been under curfew ever since its disputable annexation by India on Aug 5 last year. In this context it is scared, India may start a conflict to divert the world attention from its internal crisis. The FO said that no one should underestimate the resolve of the people and the armed forces of Pakistan are ready to effectively frustrate any aggressive action. Modi had also mentioned to border incidents in 2016 and 2019. In the previous two Pakistani soldiers were martyred by Indian firing across the Line of Control in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. At the time, India state to have carried out surgical strikes on Pakistan, which was denied by Pakistan and international observers alike. In 2019 came the Balakot attack, where India stated to have killed over a hundred terrorists, while Pakistan and the world media showed that the only injuries of the incident were a few birds and trees. India, on the other hand, had to suffer the shame of having a pilot shot down and captured by Pakistan. In spite of this the disgrace Modi and his ministers successfully played this as a triumph. He is under force after weeks of protests against his narrow minded citizenship law changes, his lawful changes in Kashmir and the subsequent statewide communications lockdown and a crippling economy.
Pakistan can counter itself in any adventurism India. The foreign office statement also reminded Mr Modi of the “immediate and effective response” to the Balakot misadventure, in which the Indian Air Force lost two of its fighter jets and one of their pilots was captured. Last year’s Balakot incidence and its consequences have shown a lot. Pakistan like peace in the region and has thus responded to Indian annoyance with restrain. The standard Pakistani has shown little desire for conflict. It seems now that the Indian establishment is continuing its efforts to divert public attention from its domestic turmoil. There has been large resistance within India from common sense members of all communities to New Delhi’s attempts to stop India’s Muslims through legal means. The harsh speech against Pakistan from Mr Modi and company appears to be intended to reassure him that he remains harsh on Pakistan. However, such warlike attitude can have perilous results for regional peace, and Pakistan’s restraint and measured conduct should not be taken as a weakness. The international community, specifically those states who support India so called democracy, need to play a more active role in communicating to their friends in New Delhi that inflammable statements can arouse actual hostilities. Pakistan wants peace, but it will not stand lazily as a bad neighbor continues to menace its sovereignty and discard all attempts at dialogue. Pakistan always voiced on the international community to heed Indian government’s continuing aggressive measures. It warned that Indian actions position threat to regional peace and security. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that in terms of open warfare, the rivals are not close to an open confrontation right now. He called on the international community to do more to stop the current tensions from getting worse. Unfortunately Modi is not able to get most Indians to accept CAA. On the other hand Pakistan remained calm and calculating at home and proactive on the international diplomatic stage.
