Everything falls flat

The world right now is in a state of great crises. All the countries of the world are trying hard to get out of this deadly disaster. The markets crush, economies suffer huge losses, and people die. This virus outbreak has become one of the biggest threats to the global economy and financial markets. Every one every where is scared as all try to get out of this virus but till this time no one completely succeed. There is much written on this topic from the last few months when this diseases first makes its appearance from the city of Wuhan of China.
This virus has caused havoc in almost every country of the world. Even those countries seem and look helpless who are more advanced and technologically sound as compared to us. We are nowhere to stand if we compare ourselves with them in case of medical facilities available there.
Many countries even impose lockdown and curfew to control the spread of virus and restrict the movement of people. The country after country restricts the movement of their citizens. The restrictions were also imposed in Kashmir. Saudi Arabia (the center of Islam) bans entry of people in mosques; even they vacate people who came from the other parts of the world to perform Umrah. This widespread lockdown will weaken the world economy even more. But the governments seem no other alternative to fight this deadly virus.
Majority of the people blame Chinese people for this outbreak. They were blamed that they eat what is dangerous for one’s health. But we as Muslims are no different than them today. Our Holy Prophet (SAW) said that my Ummah is the torch bearer for the whole of humanity. Our duty was to get out those who are in darkness towards the righteous path, Alas we themselves gone astray and forget our duties and responsibilities. We were told not to get bribe, we take and that too with pride. We were asked that interest is forbidden (haram), we said that we didn’t survive and succeed without taking that. We were given with one of the greatest live miracles by Almighty Allah that is Holy Quran which is the divine book for guidance. We kept that only for reading over on dead. And never try to understand what it said to us.
Let me put some examples from this Holy Quran about the past Ummah which were before us on this planet earth and how and why Almighty Allah destroys them from the surface of the earth.
One of the stories written in the Holy Quran is about Prophet Lut (AS). The Quran says that the people of Lut rejected his warnings. Almighty Allah sent against them, except Lut’s household: As a grace from us: thus do we reward those who give thanks. And (Lut) did warn them of our punishment, but they disputed about the warnings (Quran: 33-36)
The people of Lut (AS) rejected our guidance. Behold! Their messenger (Lut) said to them: “will you not fear Allah? I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. So fear Allah and obey me. No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of this whole universe. Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, and leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are the people transgressing (all limits)!” they said: “if thou desit not, o Lut! Thou wilt assuredly be cast out! He said: if do detest your doings.” (Quran: 160-161)
In response to this they threatened him of dire consequences. His people instead of following the right path rejected him and wanted to banish him and other believers besides him.
Then came the Almighty Allah’s response. The Quran says: The mighty blast overtook them before morning. And we turned the cities upside down on them brimstones hard as backed clay. Behold! In this are the signs for those who by tokens do understand. (Quran: 73-76)
Another example in the Holy Quran is of Hazrat Shuaib (AS). Quran says to the people of madyan we sent their brother Shuaib. He said: O my people! Worship Allah, you have no other Ilah but him. Verily! A clear proof from your Lord has come unto you, so give full measure in their things, and do not mischief on the earth after it has been set in order that will be better for you, if you are believers. And sit not on every road, threating, and hindering from the path of Allah those who believe in him.
They too rejected his messenger and Almighty Allah wiped them totally from the surface of the earth. The Holy Quran is full of such episodes so that we get guidance how we can save ourselves from the wrath of Almighty Allah. For whatever reason those nations were destroyed were today all present in me and you. That is why we were effulged in this deadly disease which if get out of control, Allah knows what will happen then to us.
In this present state of uncertainty and confusion we all must accept that it is Allah’s wrath which befall upon us even he doesn’t like us to enter the mosques. In what evil these people were involved and for what reasons they were destroyed from the surface of the earth, unfortunately majority of people like me were involved in one way or other in those sins and crimes. In this situation our only weapon besides following precautionary measures (from experts and doctors) is asking Istighfar from our Lord.
As Istighfar is the gateway of relief and happiness. It also opens door of mercy. Our holy Prophet (SAW) for whom this entire universe was created also seeks forgiveness from his Lord. So in this present state of epidemic we all must turn towards our lord and supplement and prostrate before him and ask for mercy and forgiveness. We have no other way expect turning towards our Lord as in this state of crises everything falls flat.
