KARACHI: Seraiki Awami Tarimat movement Pakistan staged a peceful protest on Wednesday outside Karachi Press Club against rising incidents of abduction, rape and murder of minor girls in the country including Karachi where a five years old girl murder and burnt after the rape at Essa Nagri area.
Protesters have banners and placards demanding to end child abductions and killings and demanding from the government safety of children.
Addressing the gathering Chairperson of STM Ms. Abida Batoo, President STM, Ms. Kiran Lashari, Sadia Shakeel, Nina Khurshid and President of Seraiki Awami Sangat Pakistan Mushtaq Ahmad Faridi said that protection of life and property of all citizens including children is the prime responsibility of Government.
They said that innocent girl Marwa was brutally killed in Karachi after being raped and her killers could not be caught yet. The protesters demanded the government of Sindh and the federal government to take urgent steps to prevent such heinous crimes and murder of children across the country and ensure the safety of all citizens.
Senior leaders Malik Riaz, Hanif Channa, Zahid Abbas Khan, Shakeel Anjum Lashari, Malik Afzal Abdul Khaliq Achha, Malik Islam, Ayaz Rasool, Malik Saleem, Journalists families and others were present on the occasion.
