ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government will announce a special package for farmers soon.
Talking to the members of National Assembly (MNAs) from South Punjab in the federal capital on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that a subcommittee of the cabinet is preparing a special package for farmers that will be announced soon.
During the meeting, the delegation of lawmakers including Malik Aamir Dogar, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi and Noor Muhammad Khan also held talks on South Punjab Secretariat, besides special package for farmers.
The Prime Minister said that South Punjab was neglected in the past and its population was not given equal opportunities in education, health and employment. He said that establishment of South Punjab Secretariat is aimed to put all districts of this area on the path of development. The premier assured not to leave the people of South Punjab alone.
Meanwhile, MNAs from Swat and Dir also called on the Prime Minister and held a detailed discussion on the law and order in Dir.
MNA Bashir Khan briefed the Prime Minister about providing employment to the local population in the under-construction dams in Dir. Besides, he apprised the Prime Minister of his constituency’s problems and steps taken for public welfare.
