MILAN (Italy): Consul General of Pakistan to Milan Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Chaudhry has said that Corona pandemic has destroyed the world’s economy, infrastructure, and the layout of daily lives. This was stated by him in an interview with the Special Correspondent of The Financial Daily and for this private U-Tube Channel.
Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Chaudhry said: “We, however, managed our office with WHO’s, and local authorities’ instructions. Unluckily one of our staff members got Corona positive.”
He said that since 2019, he visited many universities and recently he met with the officials of the University of Brescia, and signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding).
He appreciated the Pakistani-Italian community members from different angles. In addition, he said, “Hopefully, we are going to organise a Pakistani culture show here in May this year. It will break-the-ice between two countries in cultural aspects.”
Answering one of the questions, he said he spent 14 years in African countries. He said, “In our foreign services officials used to say that I am an African-person in foreign services. In addition, I played a vital role in the forming of our (Pakistan’s) new Engage-Africa policy.”
“I am satisfied with my contributions towards our country, I served more than 30 years in the central management,” he said and added that, “it’s my keen hobby to recite from the Holy Quran whenever I get free time at home.”
He urged the community members to make unity, and do hard work in their fields of interest and make our nation proud in the globe.
