KARACHI: One of the largest private sector banks of Pakistan, HBL failed to facilitate Prime Minister Ahsas Kifalat Program beneficiaries properly because of the slow system from the starting of this program. Long queues outside HBL branches were seen during the whole month of Ramazan.
The AKP beneficiaries spend the whole day and many of them return to their homes with empty hands due to the slow system of identification of beneficiaries and the communication gap between NADRA and HBL.
When the operation manager of the Korangi Industrial area branch contacted the TFD team. He said that due to the illiteracy of the Ehsaas Kifalat Program beneficiaries, our system slowed down because they did not know how to use these bank’s sensitive machines and ultimately system failure occurred which disturbed our uninterrupted banking services.
He suggested that this program has to operate with separate transaction machines, our banking hours become miserable, However, our ATM machines are unable to provide services to our customers due to their wrong entries and multiple attempts.
One more reason for their failed attempts is that their thumb impressions did not register in NADRA. So the data is not shared with us ultimately the beneficiary is not recognised and not allowed to continue his/her transaction and fights with us.
The HBL top hierarchy also contacted us that we have the keen interest to know about the system upgrading but they never responded.
