HEC introduces the First Cohort of the NDFP for newly admitted HEI faculty members.

KARACHI: The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched the First Cohort of National Faculty Development Program (NDFP) for Newly Inducted Faculty Members of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) Monday at HEC Regional Center Karachi. In First Cohort of NFDP, 26 Faculty Members from Public Sector HEIs from Sindh and Baluchistan are attending the Cohort I of NFDP for Newly Inducted Faculty Members.
NAHE, HEC designed a three-week NFDP for newly inducted Faculty Members of Public Sector HEIs of Pakistan to accelerate the transfer of essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes in three dimensions of a successful career as a faculty member: (1) teaching and learning, (2) applied research, and (3) professional practice. NFDP comprises of Effective Learning & Teaching, Course Design, Assessment & Evaluation, Lesson Planning & delivery, Technology in classroom, Learning Management System, Grant Writing, Publishing Research and Career development modules.
On behalf of Advisor (Acad, Curriculum & NAHE), Director General (NAHE) and Director Regional Center Karachi welcomed the participants of the program and congratulated them on their selection for this program.
He underscored the efforts of NAHE in designing of this program. He advised the participants to gain maximum benefits from this unique and valuable opportunity as NAHE has engaged esteemed resource persons for delivery of various modules.
Several activities will be utilized to achieve the learning objectives of the program which include daily interactive sessions, group projects, presentations and assignments related to various modules of the program.
