DUBAI (UAE): The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) hosted the Pakistan Investment Roadshow in Dubai from 5-7 November 2023. The purpose of the event was to showcase the potential of Pakistan and attract global investments in key sectors of the economy.
On the first day, a large number of global businessmen and investors attended the roadshow. SIFC officials engaged extensively with investors, highlighting the opportunities and potential in Pakistan under SIFC. Thirty Pakistani firms presented their project proposals during pitch sessions, covering various domains including agriculture, IT, and energy.
A panel discussion was also held to discuss the investment landscape in Pakistan compared to emerging markets. The final day of the roadshow focused on attracting foreign investments through government-to-government and government-to-business frameworks.
The senior leadership of SIFC gave a brief on the initiative, emphasizing the untapped potential in agriculture, IT, telecom, mines, minerals, energy, power, oil, and gas. SIFC actively engaged with investors and pitched projects in these key sectors, assuring support through collaboration between the public and private sectors.
The event was well-received by investors, who showed confidence in SIFC and expressed interest in the investment opportunities. The successful conduct of the roadshow helped showcase SIFC initiatives on a global scale and is expected to create new opportunities for investment collaboration.
