DUBAI (UAE): A special ceremony was organized in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai. Members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities attended the ceremony.
On this occasion, Consul General of Pakistan Hussain Muhammad thanked the participants and said that February 5 is a day of solidarity with the oppressed and unarmed brothers and sisters of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOKK).
“This day is a day to draw the attention of the international community to the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, according to which the only and final solution to the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOKK) dispute will be through a democratic means of free and fair plebiscite as per the will of the Kashmiri people,” he said.
The Consul General further said that during the last 76 years of Indian occupation, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have bravely faced countless atrocities. He further said that the sacrifices made by Kashmiris to achieve the great cause will not go in vain.
Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General reiterated Pakistan’s national commitment to continue to extend support to the proud people of Jammu and Kashmir at the moral, political and diplomatic levels.
