Pakistan Street Footballers Continue Winning Streak at Norway Cup 2024

Muslim Hands FC, representing Pakistan in street football, secured their second consecutive win in the U17 category at the Norway Cup 2024 with a commanding 5-0 victory over Vardeneset BK.

The Pakistani team delivered a standout performance, showcasing their dominance with a well-rounded display. Mohammad Kashif scored twice, while Mohammad Khan, Mohammad Adeel, and Shahid Anjum each contributed a goal to ensure a comfortable triumph.

With two victories in as many matches, Pakistan has made a strong start in the tournament. After finishing as runners-up last year, the team is determined to claim the title this time around.

In their opening match, Pakistan triumphed 6-1 against Astor Footballklubb, thanks to Abdul Ghani’s brace and goals from Mohammad Essa, Mohammad Junaid, Owais Ahmed, and Mohammad Khan.

Next, Pakistan will face Oystese IL Oystese/Norheimsund in their final group game on Tuesday.

It’s noteworthy that in the 2023 Norway Cup, Pakistan lost the final on penalties 10-9 to Sola FK. Despite their defeat, the team remained undefeated throughout the tournament, winning all their matches with large margins. They scored 28 goals and conceded just three, demonstrating their capability to win convincingly.

Additionally, Pakistan was the runner-up at the Street Child World Cup in Doha, Qatar, in 2022, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament but losing the final to Egypt on penalties (4-3). They also finished as runners-up in the 2018 edition in Russia and secured third place in the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
