PM Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Eradicate Terrorism in Balochistan with Full Force

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his unwavering confidence in the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed and civil forces, declaring that terrorism in Balochistan, orchestrated by Khwarij and foreign elements, will be eradicated root and branch under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.

During a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee of the National Action Plan (NAP) in Quetta, PM Shehbaz emphasized the federal government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism across Balochistan. “With full cooperation from the federal government and the leadership of Balochistan, we will eliminate terrorism in Balochistan,” he affirmed.

The Prime Minister condemned the tragic and barbaric terrorist incident that occurred in Balochistan on August 26, which caused nationwide grief. He reiterated the government’s resolve to crush terrorism not only in Balochistan but also in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other regions of Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz hinted at the involvement of foreign elements, stating that Khwarij and terrorist organizations are shedding the blood of innocent Pakistanis, including law enforcement personnel. He emphasized that the sacrifices of the officers and sepoys of the Frontier Constabulary Levies and civilians would not be in vain.

The Prime Minister ruled out any dialogue with terrorists, stressing that talks should only be held with those who believe in the Constitution and flag of Pakistan. He also highlighted the importance of collective efforts to remove obstacles to Balochistan’s progress and prosperity, following in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.

PM Shehbaz pointed out that the enemies of Pakistan are attempting to hinder the progress of Balochistan and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), but they will not succeed. He noted that eradicating terrorism is vital for the country’s prosperity.

As part of the government’s policy to strengthen governance in Balochistan, PM Shehbaz announced the deployment of 48 Common Training Programme officers in the province for a year, with incentives including air tickets for their families every three months and additional points for performance evaluations.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Jam Kamal Khan, and Mohsin Naqvi, along with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, accompanied PM Shehbaz on his visit. Upon arrival at Quetta Airport, the Prime Minister was received by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and other senior officials.
