The federal government has decided to maintain the price of petrol at Rs247.03 per litre, while raising the price of high-speed diesel by Rs5 per litre, bringing it to Rs251.29 per litre for the next fortnight. The new prices, reflecting global oil market trends, came into effect on September 16, as per an official notification.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) calculated these adjustments based on international price variations, according to a statement released by the Finance Division late Tuesday.
